Scene Four, Scratches

The two friends get up and leave, and the old man walks off the opposite direction. Gabriel and Eden talk as they walk, but it's too low for us to hear. Sounds: Footsteps, a heartbeat, Paramore -- Ignorance (speaking part, quiet, in background). The friends pass a tree with three long gashes carved into it. They ignore it. By the orphanage, Eden opens the door and takes a deep breath, looking to Gabriel for support before crossing the thresh hold and closing the door. Gabriel stares at the door for a moment, then turns and leaves. Camera switches to a viewpoint hidden in the bushes, and a low hiss is heard. A brief flash of a pair of dark eyes closes the shot.
